Breeding hints:
I have published a detailed breeding report for Chalcosoma chiron kirbyi on this site. The only really exciting finding was that in order to reach telodont specimen with long horns, a good trick is to rear the larvae on kinshi. I have a new generation coming along now, and will rear those larvae on kinshi. If no kinshi at hand, hard white-rotten wood will also work.

This is most interesting. Do you have any more information? I had always thought these come from hot tropical areas, but most collection records seem to show some decent altitude, which means much cooler temperatures. What species kinshi are you using and overall temperature.
