Breeding hints:
Kirchnerius are in general very similar in breeding to Prosopocoilus. Eggs are laid into medium hard white rotten wood. Larvae can be reared on flake soil, but I have also tested Pleurotus ostreatus kinshi (Ohiratake), which also worked well. I have reared Kirchnerius guangxii now for 3 generations and found them generally to be an easy to rear species. I think it might be a good idea to hibernate freshly hatched adults, to keep them vigorous. I have done that with a pair once, had them at 3-5 degree Celsius for three months, they laid as well as their siblings.
