Distribution:
China, Republic of China
Breeding hints:
I am not sure about this species. If you have an idea, please do let me know
I am not aware of specific breeding reports, but guess it will be in the same manner of Dicronocephalus wallichi bourgoini from Taiwan. I have written a detailed breeding report, which is also on this site. In short:
- Females pack the eggs into fresh leaves (‘parceling the egg’)
- For pupation, clay needs to be added

Hi! I’m from Korea and we have a species of Dicronocephalus that looks alot like the one in your picture. Since you found it in China, a neighboring country of Korea, it might be the same species we have here. If it is then you have a Dicronocephalus Adamsi. Hope this helped!
Hi,
Yes, the Dicranocephalus in Korea is D. adamsi. Are you also a breeder? Maybe we can exchange somewhen in the future. Warm regards
Benjamin
