Breeding hints:
Euchirus dupontianus is considered to be a rather rare species. It has however been bred by hobbyists and seems to be quite a productive species. I am however not aware of a detailed breeding report and would be thankful for pointers.

Hey Ben,
I recently just reared one of this from larvae to adulthood. We received a male and female Euchirus dupontianus a year ago and put them in a enclosure with 5″ substrate that was 1:1:2 mix of organic compost, dried leaves, and wood mulch. When both adults died we searched the substrate and found nothing. We then left the enclosure alone as we had other more pressing projects at the time. Several months later while emptying the container we found a 9 month old grub! It had at that point decomposed all the substrate in there and was beginning to be under nourished. We moved him to his own enclosure with the same composition of soil above. It has now been 14 months and he is now a pupa. I realize this isn’t exactly fantastic science or info! It was very much chance that we got through but hopefully this helps someone else. We just recently got another pair and will be attempting to replicate this.
Hi Jeremy,
very cool. I have at the moment 6 larvae, all fat L3, really hope I can get them to pupate properly and then finally set them up for egg laying.
Wish you good luck, and please keep me updated how it is working out for you.
Cheers
Ben
