Breeding hints:
Odontolabis is a very easy to breed species for which I had written a very detailed breeding report that can be found on this website under the breeding report section.
Odontolabis gazella is a very interesting species, as there seems to be no telodont form (I have seen a picture that claimed to be of the telodont form, but even then it is a one in a million chance to actually get one of these :-)) The right and the left mandible are never identical, unlike most other Lucanidae. I have bred this species through a few generations and, if I remember right, in the forth generation I had a small percentage of males with black markings in the middle od the elytrae, much like the females.
