Distribution:
Malaysia, Indonesia (?)
Breeding hints:
Prosopocoilus astacoides is quite a good beginners species. Eggs are laid into medium soft white rotten wood. The larvae can be separated, but I had not noticed cannibalism when I was keeping larvae together in a large box. Larvae can be reared on white rotten wood or flour fermented sawdust with additives to reach larger imagines.
