Breeding hints:
There are quite a few different subspecies of Prosopocoilus dissimilis. Prosopocoilus dissimilis elegans is a very nice lighter couloured subspecies. Please make sure to keep the subspecies separated while breeding and avoid the creation of hybrids.
The breeding of Prosopocoilus dissimilis is quite similar to the breeding of Prosopocoilus inclinatus. Eggs are laid into white rotten medium hard wood, where the larvae will develop. Larvae can be raised in white rotten wood, or fermented mat with additives. It is advisable to keep this species slightly cooler in order to reach bigger imagines.
