Breeding hints:
I am currently trying to breed this species. I have lost the male rather early, hence I am not sure if they had time to mate. However, I was informed by Ryan Minard that it is a rather easy to breed species. Eggs are laid in rather soft white rotten wood (compared to other Dorcus species) and raising the larvae is in the typical Dorcus fashion.
